Until the 1970s, Davidson College students attended daily services in the Lingle Chapel. The chapel now serves the congregation as a smaller worship space alternative to the sanctuary. The 8:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Sunday services and the Wednesday afternoon intercessory prayer services are held there. The chapel seats 150. The Chapel is home to an Ott organ.
The purpose of this website is to personalize the experience at LIngle Chapel. It is structured around actions (Reflect, Listen, See and Engage) and is meant to enable a customized experience for meditation, contemplation, reflection and prayer. Though designed for use in the actual chapel, it can also be used anywhere with a virtual tour of the facility included as part of the website.
The Lingle Chapel website will be constantly changing based on events, feedback and time of year.
